Paroc stone wool is made of nature's own stone material. Of the stone wool, 95-99 percent consists of molten and fiberized stone, into which binders are added during the manufacturing process. As a result, durable stone wool is produced that insulates both heat and sound.

Sustainability -challenge for tomorrow.

For today's construction activities, sustainability is becoming a key issue determining which materials are being used. Demands for the recycling and reuse of products are growing. 
One way to measure the sustainability of a product is to calculate its energy balance. The balance sums up the total amount of energy a product consumes or conserves from being produced, transported, used and disposed of. For Paroc stone wool products, the energy balance is favourably positive. The amount of energy conserved by using these products is a hundred times more than the amount used to produce them.
